Sensory Table:
Cut up blue and white straws along with white cotton balls made for the base of our sensory table for Dental Health learning in February. Add toothbrushes, floss (we used the bacon flavored floss the kids received as funny gifts from Christmas).
* * As with all of our activities, children need supervision so no one gets hurt * *
Counting Syllables:
Activities that help teach vocabulary can be fun for the kids especially with these great interactive worksheets from Teaching Talking on Teachers Pay Teachers. Click here to go directly to her dental health worksheets.
Laminate the print outs so you can use these over and over again.
Reading:
There are so many great books about visiting the dentist, cavities, and how to brush properly. This is such a great unit for teaching the children about how to keep themselves healthy but this also helps to easy some fear little ones might have of visiting the dentist.
Dramatic Play:
Great to act out visiting the dentist especially before your little goes.
