Neon Explosion:
What Are Water Beads?
Water beads are tactile beads that absorb and expand in water. They are a Fabulous addition for sensory exploration, aid in increasing fine motor skills for home and clinical use. For safety, please ensure that children are old enough to play as these are NOT edible and are a chocking hazard.

Step 1:
Take some water beads and let them soak in water over night or at least for a few hours.
Many children have played with water beads before but I love taking somewhat common items and introducing them in uncommon ways. So let's use these sensory beads to PAINT with.
Step 2:
There are options for using these to paint with. You can add paint into the water dish you have your beads soaking in, like we did here.
Step 3:
In our summer camp, the children's art kit come in this box that we use the entire week to not only store all of their art items but we also use the box to create in so the mess in contained.
Place your paper inside of the box and drop your painted water beads onto your paper. You won't need very many.
Step 4:
Your other option is to place your paper inside of your box and add drops of paint onto your paper. Then drop a few of your water beads that have been soaking in water (not paint).
Try out both options and see what you like the best.
Step 5:
Close your art box lid, holding the sides so it doesn't open. Now shake it! Feel free to stand up, move around, sing a little song while you shake your creation.
SURPRISE TIME: Once you're finished creating your fabulous Process Art, now grab your blacklight flashlight and head to a dark space. Turn on your blacklight and watch your creation Glow.
Fabulous part is that the inside of our boxes look like art pieces all on their own. Now if only I can figure out how to recreate this on our Studio walls!
Step 6:
SURPRISE TIME: Once you're finished creating your fabulous Bubble Art, now grab your blacklight flashlight and head to a dark space. Turn on your blacklight and watch your creation Glow.
