Neon Explosion:

Ready to explore Neon, Black lights, and anything that glows-in-the-dark?  This 4-day camp is where we will create and explore using Neon crayons, fluorescent paint, highlighters, black lights, and so much more.

Check our the rest of our Neon Explosion summer camp

Step 1:

In our 2 oz plastic cup, we added a few squirts of dish soap, small amount of water and scooped a few drops of florescent tempera paint.

We used a different cup for each color we used.

Step 2:

Close the lid on the 2 oz cup and keep it on the table.  Place your hand over the top and move in back and forth while on the table.  (simple way to have children mix the water, dish soap and paint without worrying about it spilling)

Step 3:

Remove the lid and grab your straw.  Place straw into your mixture and remember to exhale through your straw.

Step 4:

You can either place your watercolor paper underneath your bubbles and keep blowing so they overflow onto your paper.

Or you can blow into your mixture until the bubbles start to rise up.  Then take your watercolor paper and place over the top, popping your bubbles onto your paper.

Step 5:

You can choose to use one color or many.  You can pop your bubbles or let them pop on their own.  Your creation will be wonderful in the light but just wait...

SURPRISE TIME:  Once you're finished creating your fabulous Bubble Art, now grab your blacklight flashlight and head to a dark space.  Turn on your blacklight and watch your creation Glow.
