I let her pour the water.  We didn't measure but make sure you pour plenty because these beads will soak up a lot!

Letting her be responsible for preparing activities promotes responsibility as well as confidence.

My kids were amazing at how the beads kept growing over time and loved swishing them.  This is only about 200 beads, which I though was plenty to start out the play with.

Love the bright colors.  We kept this sensory table filled for probably over a week and the colors did fade over time.

How to fill up balloons with water beads (orbeezs).

We started finding new ways to play with the beads. Creating a sensory balloon is super simple and fun.

  1. cut the end of a plastic bottle.
  2. insert the end (where you would drink) into the balloon.
  3. allow the kids to pour and squish the beads down into the balloon
  4. remove the plastic bottle piece, tie the ballon
  5. squish away!  Could also be used as a good calming toy.
